White County Recycling accepts a variety of recyclable products at our facility.

#1 Pete (soda bottles),#2 natural (milk jugs),#2 colored (soap bottles), glass (brown, green, and clear), newspaper, office paper, cardboard, aluminum and tin cans, magazines, oil filters, antifreeze, oil (5 gallon limit), car batteries, household batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, shoes, belts, purses, stuffed animals, clothing, and small toys. Plastic flower pots and trays, as well as clear or white soil/mulch bags, are also accepted.

Appliances can be brought to the recycling center for a minimal fee. Freon containing items such as refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners are $20.00. There is no charge for stoves, water heaters, washers, dryers and other small appliances.

From May through October good usable latex paint is collected and made available, free of charge, to the public.

In addition, White County residents may drop off obsolete computers and televisions, copiers, fax machines, scanners, cell phones and other accessories to the center during normal business hours.

*Free pick up of corrugated cardboard for local businesses is available for a minimal start up fee. Please call the center for further information!!!
